Terms of Use for Wildgrid
Effective Date: April 8, 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Wildgrid platform, including the main website at wildgrid.xyz and the community solar waitlist platform at platform.wildgrid.xyz (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and Wildgrid ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms apply to all services under the Wildgrid brand umbrella.
2. Use of Platform
The Platform provides tools and services to help individuals and organizations:
- Launch community solar projects through the WeSolar Platform.
- Learn about clean energy solutions and electrification.
- Sign a public declaration for climate justice.
- Join interest-based waitlists for community solar programs and other features.
- Book free 1-on-1 consultation calls.
The community solar waitlist platform allows Users to express interest in subscribing to community solar programs. However, joining the waitlist does not guarantee enrollment in any program. Users may be contacted by Wildgrid or its partners (e.g., solar developers, utilities) regarding available community solar offers.
All tools, forms, and educational content provided on the Platform are for informational purposes only. They do not constitute financial, legal, or professional advice. Users should consult appropriate professionals for specific advice tailored to their circumstances.
3. User Responsibilities
When using the Platform, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information when requested.
- Use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms.
- Refrain from engaging in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the Platform's functionality or security.
You may not:
- Use the Platform to engage in fraudulent, harmful, or illegal activities.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or its systems.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Platform.
- Upload any documents or information that you do not have the legal right to share.
4. Privacy Policy Reference
Your use of the Platform is also governed by Wildgrid's Privacy Policy. By using the Platform, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of the Privacy Policy.
5. Disclaimers About Solar Program Availability
Wildgrid does not guarantee the availability of community solar programs or your enrollment in such programs. Program availability is subject to factors beyond Wildgrid's control, including geographic location, utility provider participation, and program capacity. Wildgrid is not responsible for any decisions made by third-party solar developers or utilities.
6. Consent to Be Contacted
By using the Platform, you consent to being contacted by Wildgrid or its partners (e.g., solar developers, utilities) via email, phone, or other communication methods regarding community solar offers, eligibility, and related services. You may opt out of certain communications by following the instructions provided in those communications or by contacting us directly.
7. Content Ownership and License Terms
All content, tools, branding, and materials available on the Platform, unless otherwise stated, are the exclusive property of Wildgrid and are protected by intellectual property laws.
By uploading documents or providing information to the Platform, you grant Wildgrid a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, store, and process such content solely for the purposes of determining program eligibility and providing related services. Wildgrid will not sell or disclose your uploaded documents or information without your consent.
8. Limitation of Liability
Wildgrid provides the Platform "as is" and makes no guarantees regarding its availability, accuracy, or reliability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wildgrid disclaims all liability for:
- Errors, interruptions, or outages of the Platform.
- Any decisions or actions taken by Users based on the information or tools provided on the Platform.
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Platform.
9. Third-Party Services
The Platform may use third-party services, such as:
- Email Communications: SendGrid.
- Analytics Tools: To improve performance and user experience.
These third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Wildgrid is not responsible for the practices or content of these third-party services.
10. Modifications to Terms
Wildgrid reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. If significant changes are made, we will notify Users by posting the updated Terms on the Platform and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the Platform after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York.
